The Annual Evening for MICR - Our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year!!!

Join us as we celebrate 13 years of changing the game for Memphis youth at An Evening for MICR, held this year at the FedEx Event Center at Shelby Farms Park.

Since 2012, Memphis Inner City Rugby has transformed access to sport and opportunity for young people in under-resourced neighborhoods. With your support, we have built free pathways from middle school through high school, launched alumni services that keep graduates on track in college and careers, and created a coaching pipeline where more than 65 percent of our staff are proud MICR alumni!

An Evening for MICR is more than a gala. It is a celebration of the student-athletes, alumni, coaches, mentors, and school partners who continue to build equity, leadership, and hope in Memphis. Together, we will honor their achievements, share powerful stories, and look ahead to a future where our new MICR Rugby Complex will soon provide a permanent home for this movement.

By joining us, your support will help register 350 student-athletes for the upcoming season, connect alumni to ongoing services, and sustain the holistic programming through transportation, trauma-informed coaching, leadership development, and mentoring that makes MICR a national model for sport-based youth development.

You can also look forward to a memorable night with us at EFMICR. Guests will enjoy fun games, a lively auction, and a delicious dinner shared with our MICR community. The program is designed to highlight the voices of our students and alumni and to create a warm, meaningful experience for everyone who attends. Whether you are supporting the mission, connecting with friends, or simply joining for a special evening, we cannot wait to welcome you to An Evening for MICR.

For supporters who live out of town or are unable to attend An Evening for MICR, there are still meaningful ways to be part of the celebration. You can make a direct gift to support the event and the programs it funds, or you can donate tickets for MICR alumni to attend and experience the evening alongside our community. Both options help ensure that this night reflects the full strength of the MICR family and continues to fuel opportunities for our students and graduates.

A note for all attendees - Please enter Shelby Farms from the Walnut Grove entrance marked with the sign for Coastal Fish Company. This will lead directly to the event center and will allow you to avoid the Starry Nights traffic.
